Intercultural Reflections: A Festival of the Arts is an expression of spoken word, poetry, and drama.

In celebration of Teatro Espejo’s 48 year in community, and in association with The Macbeth Project, Philippine National Day Association, & Ma Series Arts with support from The California Arts Council, we present “Intercultural Reflections: A Festival of the Arts” focusing on the power of the word and celebrating multilingual, bicultural, aesthetics centering and honoring lived experience and contemporary narratives of BIPOC Sacramento community-based artist.

Live performances include spoken word, recited poetry, and theatre! This event features celebrated diverse talents from Northern California also integrating the audience through observation, call and response and post-performance dialogue. We focus on work that is culturally relevant, speaks of diversity, empowers its audience through social justice, and/or embraces multiculturalism embracing their intercultural pride and love.

Teatro Espejo is a Chicanx/Latinx community theater that not only produces plays that are culturally relevant but works that reflect issues that affect the community as a whole.

MA Series Arts nonprofit 2018: dedicated to support, performance, research & practice by women y queers of color, honoring the full spectrum of cultural and gender identities.

Philippine National Day Association- Carrying out Educational, Cultural, and Arts Programs that Empower the Community.

The MacBeth Project was built out of a community outcry for more African American representation in the classical theater arts. It is a 5-year project producing the story of MacBeth, co-created with a different cultural asset each year, infusing the productions with both cultural identities.

All who enter the facility must wear masks & provide Proof of Vaccination or negative test within 48 hours.
